Eventually, we all experience the pain of losing someone we love. No one is untouched by death, yet saying goodbye to a loved one can be among the most difficult things we will ever endure. There is no getting around grief: you cannot take shortcuts, rush through it, or “get over it.” For many, though, there is comfort in gathering within a community that shares your loss.
Memorials and funerals offer space to voice your sorrows and share your sadness with others. They provide important time to mourn what you have lost or what you will not get to have, as well as a place to celebrate the life and honor the spirit of the deceased. Services can give closure to one chapter of your loss so that you may move forward on the journey of life without your loved one.

Custom Ceremonies
Whether you are planning a funeral, burial, ash scattering, memorial or celebration of life, I will guide you in considering what matters now: what needs to be named, shared and remembered about the person you have lost, and what wants to be invited, cultivated and offered those left to grieve.
Funerals and memorial ceremonies are customized to reflect the personality, values and beliefs of the deceased while remaining sensitive to the needs and wishes of their family. Services can include cultural, religious or spiritual traditions as well as universal principles of love, compassion and hope. You may also wish to incorporate music, prayers, readings, poems or reflections from loved ones.
As an Interfaith minister, I honor all religious backgrounds as well as spiritual or secular families. My fee to personally write and officiate typically ranges from $500 to $750. I offer donation-based payment as well. As a Ceremony Guide, I can also help you design and plan your own service.

Sharing stories is an important part of processing your loss. As together we reflect on your loved one’s death, you explore the significance of their life. In remembering all they have meant to you, you discover they will continue to be part of your lives.
There are times when a death leaves too much unspoken or unresolved, or when hurting goes deeper than the loss itself. Sometimes even the circumstances of death are more than we feel we can bear. This grief, too, must find its way to expression.
Not everything you might share with me will be part of the service for your loved one, but the space to speak and be heard is an important part of mourning. Planning a funeral or memorial for your loved one will be a meaningful chapter in your journey toward healing.

We can’t thank Hannah enough for coming to our rescue on such short notice. She did the most amazing service for my husband, Jim. We are so very grateful to have received her help in our hour of need.

Words cannot express my gratitude for having Hannah walk me through this difficult time in my life. I am so thankful she was the light to guide me through my father’s death. I appreciate Hannah, her time and her kind words. I will be forever grateful.

Hannah spent hours meeting with our family and helping with our grief. She guided us in gathering our thoughts and enabled us to share our love. We remembered a life well lived and understood the love we will always carry with us. Hannah’s conversations led to a meaningful bonding despite the loss.

On behalf of my two sons, we are so thankful for all the thoughtfulness Hannah put into the tribute to their father. We could not have been happier with how the day turned out. There was so much love and respect in the room – it was a true celebration and blessing to be part of.

We are so grateful Hannah was able to learn about my step-mother, Nancy, through all of us. Her presentation was phenomenal and she sent a beautiful keepsake after the service which was wonderful. We truly appreciate all the times Hannah reached out to us and are forever grateful to her.

I attended a funeral service officiated by Rev. Hannah Grace. Although she did not know my friend personally, she learned a great deal about him and presented a lovely portrait of his salient characteristics. She was spellbinding in a non-denominational ceremony. Hannah is a minister with a special gift.
